It's Me, Hi!

I am Sarah Klunk, owner and designer at Sarah's Floral Designs.

My husband, Fred, and I grew up in the Carlisle Area.

We met at a wedding at Allenberry Resort!!

He was the best man and I was the maid of honor.

I caught the bouquet & he caught the garter

(back when they did such things).

And the rest is history!!

We have two creative daughters who grew as my business grew.

Both of them now work for me as part of my delivery and set up crew.

We have a beautiful backyard complete with a coop full of chickens.

We love to travel, read, hike and ski.

I have always loved flowers and have lots of perennial gardens.

I could never be surrounded by too many flowers!

They bring me such joy, and it's easy to get lost in their beauty.

I decided to take my passion for blooms and turn it into a business in 2009.

I was trained as a floral designer at

Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

I completed their Certificate of Floral Design program.

Longwood Gardens offer one of the most respected floral design

programs in the Northeast region.

I never, ever dreamed that my business would grow like it has.

It has been an absolute joy and honor to share my gifts with hundreds of couples on their wedding days. I cannot imagine doing anything else.

Environmentally Friendly

As a family, it is important to us that we reduce our carbon footprint

as much as possible.

Therefore, I compost all leftover plant material.

I recycle or reuse all cardboard and plastic wrapping.

I deliver all of your wedding day flowers in containers that have

been repurposed or upcycled.

Don't be surprised to find your boutonnieres and petals in repurposed

plastic lettuce boxes! I wish I had kept count

of all the repurposed plastic boxes I have used over the years.

It would be so satisfying to know how many LESS plastic boxes I contributed to landfills in this practice.

Another very important practice in sustainability is my effort to use as many LOCALLY GROWN flowers as possible.

Not only is this a more sustainable option

(No plastic wrap. No boxes. No airplanes.) but in the process

it supports other women entrepreneurs in Central PA.

There is no better product than flowers and greenery that have been locally grown.
